PE AND PO FILM FOR COMMERCIAL PROJECTS

Commercial PE and PO Greenhouse Film for Growing Projects

Around 150 microns is a common starting specification for commercial greenhouse PE film. Final thickness and film structure should be confirmed against climate exposure, greenhouse design, fixing method, required service life and functional additives.

PE and PO options Custom roll dimensions Export-ready packing

Start with the film family

Choose PE or PO before defining the additive package

PE and PO are product families. UV stabilization, anti-drip, anti-fog, diffusion and thermal functions are separate specification choices. Keeping these decisions separate prevents incomplete quotations.

Practical selection matrix

Match the film specification to the growing environment

These are quotation starting points, not universal prescriptions. Final construction still requires the greenhouse drawing, local exposure and supplier technical data.

Functional options

Build the performance brief one function at a time

Several functions may be combined in one film, but each choice changes the evidence and project information required. Choose only functions the project can define and verify.

01

UV stabilization

State the exposure region, chemical environment and target service period. UV resistance is not the same as UV blocking.

02

Anti-drip

Confirm the treated side, condensate behavior, test basis and expected functional duration.

03

Anti-fog

Define the performance method and intended duration; do not treat anti-fog and anti-drip as automatic synonyms.

04

Light diffusion

Specify transmission and haze or diffusion targets together with crop and climate requirements.

05

Thermal option

Request the thermal test basis and evaluate it with the complete greenhouse energy strategy.

06

White or custom color

Confirm color, opacity, optical targets, approved sample and the intended application.

Specifications before quotation

A correct roll starts with a complete project brief

Thickness alone is not enough. Finished width affects installation, roll weight affects handling, and the additive package affects price and production planning.

01

Finished width and roll length

Calculate from final attachment points, not only the greenhouse floor width.

02

Thickness and tolerance

State the target in microns or mil and agree how uniformity will be checked.

03

Climate and service target

Give the installation region, exposure conditions and expected use period.

04

Functional package

List UV, anti-drip, anti-fog, diffusion, thermal or color requirements separately.

05

Installation and fastening

Frame shape, contact surfaces and fastening affect width and mechanical risk.

06

Packing and delivery

Confirm core, maximum roll weight, pallet method, labels, destination and unloading limits.

Factory review and quality control

Show the checks that support the specification

Factory credibility comes from traceable order review, measurable inspection points and shipment records—not a general “strict quality” claim.

Before production

Specification review

Check film family, dimensions, tolerance, function, packing, quantity and required documents.

During production

Process inspection

Record thickness, finished width, appearance, winding and agreed functional checks.

Before shipment

Final release

Verify roll identification, quantity, packaging, batch information and loading requirements.

Applications

One film category, different project constraints

The application helps define the specification, but crop environment, structure and local exposure still need to be stated.

01 / COMMERCIAL

Commercial greenhouses

Confirm span layout, attachment points, roll handling and project life.

02 / VEGETABLES

Vegetable production

Define crop, light target, humidity and condensation-control needs.

03 / NURSERY

Nursery and seedlings

Review optical requirements, internal humidity and handling frequency.

04 / TUNNELS

High and low tunnels

Check season length, tunnel profile, edge allowance and fastening method.

Greenhouse film FAQ

Questions buyers should settle before an order

Final values must match the selected product grade and approved specification.

What information is needed for an accurate greenhouse film quotation?

Provide the film family, finished width, roll length, thickness, installation country, expected service period, functional requirements, approximate quantity, packing method and destination. If some values are unknown, send the available project information for review.

Is 150 micron greenhouse film suitable for every project?

No. Around 150 micron is a common review point for many commercial projects, not a universal specification. Climate, structure, fastening, additive package and expected use period can justify another thickness or construction.

Does anti-drip film reduce greenhouse humidity?

No. Anti-drip treatment changes how condensate behaves on the inner film surface. Ventilation, heating, crop load and greenhouse management still control internal humidity.

How should finished greenhouse film width be calculated?

Measure the full covering path between final attachment points and include the required fastening and handling allowance. Floor width alone is not enough for an arched or multi-span structure.

Which documents should be approved before mass production?

Depending on the order, approve the quotation specification, sample or TDS, dimensions and tolerance, function statement, label, packing method and any agreed inspection record before production release.

Need help choosing PE or PO greenhouse film?

You can make an initial inquiry even if every specification is not yet final.
