Step 1: Lay out and inspect the roll

Move the film close to the greenhouse without opening it on dirty or sharp ground.

Before unfolding:

  • Match the roll label to the order
  • Confirm width, length and quantity
  • Record the batch or roll number
  • Identify the inside, outside and fold direction
  • Inspect packaging for transit damage
  • Confirm that the frame-contact surfaces and channels are complete

Do not use a knife deep inside the wrapping where it can cut the film.

Step 2: Position and unroll the film

Place the roll in the orientation required for the selected pulling method. Large films may be center-folded or gusseted to unfold from the ridge.

Keep the roll ends supported so they do not scrape the ground. If a pipe is placed through the core, protect the film edges from the supports.
